When stereo is converted to multichannel, (in analog, usually some derivation of ProLogic or similar using a matrix to subtract the center and rear from the stereo source), the rear channels are never the same volume level as your main. They are there pretty much only for "atmosphere". In the digital environment you can add effects steering to the list but again, audible volume levels are low, save for when an effect is steered towards that channel. It sounds like what you want is a process to replicate the front stereo on your rear channels in a 5 channel stereo arrangement? If its a stereo->multichannel setup you want then what software you use is largely irrelevant as they will all use the same process. All you need really is something with a pink noise generator to ensure your speakers at at the same volume level relative to each other
