I have a couple of laptops in mind, just curious which might be preferable. Looking to stay relatively under the 1,500 range, but I suppose the real goal is to not breach the 2,000$ mark.
Is there any laptop worthy of doing this? Is the i7 mobile processor strong enough yet, without paying some 4k. And how about the mobile GPU's matched with it? I've done plenty of research but I'm not quite positive on how well they perform in a pair.
Looking at the Asus ROG 12 GB 640/650m GPU's. i7. On Newegg
Or the MSI with equivalent but a slightly better GPU
Thanks guys

Much as I would prefer not to go over the 2k mark,
I suppose this would probably the best option for that sort of work, although it'd be pretty bad on the gaming side

Other options I was considering was;

Would the 650M be sufficient for any gaming/what I'm mainly looking to do. I'm much more focused on the graphic design aspects, but it'd be nice to have a laptop that could handle whatever I throw at it.

If I was going to pay more than 2k for the laptop that's unable to game, would this one be sufficient for my intended use.

Otherwise, feel free to suggest a better laptop for the price.
I am budget oriented, but I'm willing to pay what I have to to get efficient quality for what I'm trying to do. I understand a desktop would be obviously far better, and I plan on building one afterwards. But I'm looking at spending quite a bit more on that desktop.
Thanks again,

Is Alienware really worth the extra $$? Am I better off saving up for one, has always been a dream computer but I just can't imagine that a Dell machine can justify being that much more expensive
