I'm using Windows 7 64bit and VMware Workstation 9.0.1. I've disabled ACPI of the virtual machine and then installed Windows 2000 beta 3 build 1946 using winnt and smartdrv under DOS, after first reboot, it stuck at "Setup is starting Windows 2000". I tried to boot the installation using CD, but still it won't start.
Any method to solve the problem?
The bold text. You didn't perform all "No-ACPI" tasks needed to start the setup, to sum this up, add "acpi.present = FALSE" to your .vmx file and keep pressing F7 when it prompts for other F* keys.
