I remember considering this years ago. Its quite interesting. Its somewhat annoying that nobody can actually tell anyone what black looks like, or blue. My black might really be white for you...
Theory of mind was new to me though. Fairly simple concept, but seems quite fundamental. I wonder though, whether or not a young child understands the question. Perhaps they thought that the stickfigure represents themselves, or that the question was 'what would you do?'... I suppose the study took that all into account though. And I thought all animals communicated, and understood when another was experiencing anger/fear etc.
The guy seems interesting (is he a philosopher?) Whistler4Ever, I will bookmark it, and check it out every now and then. I don't subscribe. Which reminds me that I need to check out if you can get RSS for Youtube channels.
EDIT: The current top comment on the Youtube page (by rybolton79) is very interesting!
I've asked this question in my head a million times and it's lead me to the following question, "What if everyone has the same favorite color?" If you think about it, if we all experience color differently, there may be a color that everyone likes best, but we all just know it by different names...
Is this your first thread as mod Gnome?
