I had a similar issue, several years ago, with my DVD-RW drive.
And believe it or not, the reason for that was a application I had installed: EASY CD Creator 5 (to be exact). Once I removed that app, I didn't have that problem anymore.
So maybe, just maybe, some application is causing this issue to your BD-RE drive now. My suggestion is: first uninstall whatever app youâre using to write discs or even better reinstall windows on another partition and see if the problem still occurs. If not, then install on this partition one by one every app that you have installed on the first partition and try each time to see if the drive still disappears from My Computer , so that you can find out exactly which app is causing this issue.
I use Power ISO. I'll uninstall it.
