Since Battler has suggested it many times before, here is a topic about the comparison of versions of Windows 3.x and Windows 9x with the versions of Windows NT from around the same time period.
Here is my list of recommended comparisons:
Windows for Workgroups 3.1x (preferably with MS-DOS 6.2) vs. Windows NT 3.1
Windows for Workgroups 3.11 (preferably with MS-DOS 6.22) vs. Windows NT 3.5
Windows 95 vs. Windows NT 3.51
Windows 95 OSR 2.x vs. Windows NT 4.0
Windows 98 vs. Windows NT 4.0 (the latter of which has Internet Explorer 4.0 installed along with the web integrated shell, as well as the relevant Service Pack updates)
Windows 98 Second Edition vs. Windows 2000
Windows Me (Millennium Edition) vs. Windows 2000
Windows Me (Millennium Edition) vs. Windows XP (note that Windows Me, preferably, in this case, should have the relevant updates installed, such as Internet Explorer 6.0, among other things that were available by the time that Windows XP was released)
