On the cover disk of Power Play 6/95, I've found a demo of Pyrotechnica by Psygnosis.
The readme says:
"NB: Please be advised that these demos are for viewing only, and should by no means be put onto coverdiscs in any publication."
and the cedits say:
"demo version
NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION"

I'm not sure if this is a beta, but at least it's a pretty rare release.
